Hello. Bonjour. Fofo.
While speaking three languages, living on three continents, and visiting more than thirty countries, Tony Lynn discovered through friendships that most people no longer follow a single traditional religious path. Instead, they live out what he calls secondhand spirituality.

In his book Secondhand Spirituality: Elevating Christ Above the Chaos, Lynn defines secondhand spirituality, describes its six core beliefs, displays ten global trends, details ten best practices that guide people toward biblical faith, demonstrates biblical responses, and invites readers to take their next steps toward meaningful conversations and lasting connections that elevate Jesus Christ above the chaos.

When you purchase Secondhand Spirituality, you will help more than 2,600 retired ministers, church workers, and widows by providing the extra money they need for housing, food, and vital medications, because Lynn will donate 10% of author royalties to MissionDignity.Org.

Why Secondhand?
Tony Lynn describes secondhand spirituality as the leading global trend, driving people to constantly create, dismantle, and redesign their personal beliefs whenever they want, without explaining their actions or responding to questions. This worldwide viral chaos continually redefines life’s purpose, reshapes personal identities, beliefs, and behaviors, and impacts everyone and everything everywhere.

What does Lynn mean by secondhand spirituality? When he was a boy, bargains were essential to his family. They knew how to make their money go further. It did not matter whether necessities or gifts were new or secondhand. Lynn’s most memorable gifts were a used guitar and a secondhand go-kart. However, after entertaining himself with songs and speed for a season, he lost interest in the music and the motors. No surprise. They cost him little to nothing. Because they were secondhand, he quickly moved on to other things.
In Secondhand Spirituality: Elevating Christ Above the Chaos, Lynn explains that most people approach spirituality much as he treated his childhood possessions. They pick up their spirituality without much thought, hold on to it temporarily, change it when they want, mix their beliefs at random, and switch to another form whenever it suits their mood. When life’s experiences threaten their happiness, they discard their self-designed spirituality and replace it with another feel-good format. That is why Lynn labels this widespread phenomenon secondhand spirituality.
In his book, Lynn defines secondhand spirituality, describes its six core beliefs, displays ten global trends, details ten best practices that guide people toward biblical faith, demonstrates biblical responses, and invites readers to take their next steps toward meaningful conversations and lasting connections that elevate Jesus Christ above the chaos.
