Concise. Practical.

Hello. Bonjour. Fofo.
While speaking three languages, living on three continents, and visiting over thirty countries, Tony Lynn discovered, through friendships, that most people no longer follow a single traditional religious path; instead, they live out what he calls “Secondhand Spirituality.”

In his book Secondhand Spirituality: Culture’s Chaos, Lynn defines secondhand spirituality, describes its six core beliefs, displays ten global trends, details twelve best practices that guide people toward biblical faith, demonstrates biblical responses, and invites readers to take their next steps toward meaningful conversations and deeper connections that elevate the Good News of Jesus Christ above the spiritual chaos.
Please, share the news about Secondhand Spirituality: Culture’s Chaos with your friends, family, and social network. They will thank you. Discover more under DrTonyLLynn on Instagram, X, and Facebook.

Why Secondhand?
Tony Lynn labels and defines secondhand spirituality as the dominant global attitude that drives people to continuously create, dismantle, and redesign their personal inner beliefs whenever they choose, without needing to justify their actions or respond to challenges. This popular trend redefines life’s purpose, alters personal identities, beliefs, and behaviors, and affects everyone and everything.
What does Lynn mean by secondhand spirituality? When he was a boy, bargains were essential to his family. They knew how to make their money go further. It did not matter whether necessities or gifts were new or secondhand. Lynn’s most memorable gifts were a used guitar and a secondhand go-kart. However, after entertaining himself with song and speed for a season, he lost interest in the music and the motors. No surprise. They did not cost him anything. Because they were secondhand, he quickly moved on to other things.
In Secondhand Spirituality: Culture’s Chaos, Lynn explains that most people approach spirituality much like he treated his childhood gifts. They pick up their spirituality without much thought, hold onto it temporarily, change it when they want, mix their beliefs randomly, and switch to another form whenever it suits their mood; and, when life’s experiences threaten their happiness, they discard their self-designed spirituality and replace it with another feel-good format. That is why Lynn labels this widespread phenomenon secondhand spirituality.
In his book, Lynn defines secondhand spirituality, describes its six core beliefs, displays ten global trends, details twelve best practices that guide people toward biblical faith, demonstrates biblical responses, and invites readers to take their next steps toward meaningful conversations and deeper connections that elevate Jesus Christ above the spiritual chaos.
This book provides individuals, groups, and participants in conferences and workshops with opportunities to develop new, personalized patterns for sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
